Meet Dr Schell
Dr. Barbara Schell is a double board certified physician, certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and the American Board of Dermatology. She is in private practice in Seattle Washington, and is the Founder, President and Medical Director of Ageless, The Center for Rejuvenation. She specializes in cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dermatology and has been named one of America's Best Physicians by the Consumer’s Research Council of America. She is one of ten physicians in the U.S. chosen for the National Aesthetic Leadership Counsel and has received the Special Congressional Certificate of Recognition.
Dr. Schell graduated with Highest Honors from Indiana University School of Medicine. She did her general surgery training at Indiana University Medical Center, and her dermatology training at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicne in Houston. She then completed a Fellowship in cosmetic surgery at the Stough Plastic Surgery Center. Dr. Schell was instrumental in writing the credentialing exam for board certification for cosmetic surgeons. She was an examiner for the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, a prestigious position that tests and qualifies only top surgeons in the Untied States to become board certified in cosmetic surgery.
Dr. Schell is considered a visionary in her field. She developed one of the first true Medical Spas in the United States. Ageless, The Center for Rejuvenation has been named a Center of Excellence by her industry and is a National Training Center for other physicians. Physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses and physician assistants have come from across the US and Canada to be trained by Dr. Schell. Dr. Schell has authored many journal articles as well as contributing to textbooks on dermatology. She has also lectured at international, national and regional meetings with presentations to such groups as The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, The American Academy of Dermatology and The Pacific Northwest Dermatology Society. She served on the Editorial Advisory Board of The Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, as well as Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Times and Plastic Surgery Products. She has been interviewed for articles that have appeared in publications such as In Style Magazine, New Beauty Magazine, Cosmetic Surgery Times, Seattle Woman Magazine, and numerous newspapers.
She has been featured on Evening Magazine, Northwest Afternoon and Health Watch, King 5 TV, KOMOTV and many other prime time TV and radio interviews, speaking on the latest cosmetic procedures and products.
She was asked to be a spokesperson for The Clarisonic Skin Care brush and most recently to be a national spokesperson for Latisse
Dr. Schell is a member of many medical societies including The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons and The American Academy of Dermatology and the Northwest Cosmetic Surgery Society. Dr. Schell and Ageless were designated a Center of Excellence.
Dr. Schell is committed to bold, courageous and passionate living. She believes in helping others dreams come true. She donates her time, services and financial support to many organizations both in her local community and worldwide, including hiring the handicapped through Northwest Center, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association, World Peace Emerging, Pike Place Market Child Care, TreeHouse, King County Humane Society, PAWS, and two Chimpanzee Sanctuaries in Africa just to mention a few. Following her recent travel to Africa, she has been actively raising and contributing money to dig a well for a small village in Kenya, and to send a child from that village to school.
