Juvéderm®

Juvéderm® Ultra and Juvéderm® Ultra Plus (thicker) is a new injectable hyaluronic acid gel filler known for its smoothness and long lasting nature. This makes the product an effective choice for filling the marionette lines or nasolabial folds. It can also be used for enhancing facial features, such as sculpting cheeks and chin, and it’s great to add volume to lips.

Many people find Juvéderm®, tends to cause a little less swelling of the lips compared to Restylane®. While there are many similarities between Restylane® and Juvéderm®, there are some differences, for example Juvéderm® often lasts up to a year. While we generally advise patients that they should expect at least 6 months of correction from Juvéderm® many people find it last s 9, 10 or even 12 months. It does come in a slightly smaller syringe than Restylane®, so while Juvéderm® may last longer, you won’t get quite as much volume or correction per syringe.

Many patients prefer to have local anesthesia (dental block) for the treatment with the hyaluronic acid fillers (both Restylane® and Juvéderm®). We will do this for you at no charge for your comfort, should you desire, or you can apply a topical numbing cream prior to the treatment.
