N-Lite for Wrinkles

N-Lite is a non-ablative laser, specifically designed for removal of wrinkles, and collagen rejuvenation. Non-ablative means the skin or epidermis is not damaged or effected in anyway, so there is no recovery or “down time”.

The gentle HeNe pulsed-dye, yellow light of N-Lite passes right through the skin without damaging the skin, stimulating the fibroblasts in your dermis to produce your own natural collagen, restoring the skin to a more youthful state. Fibroblasts are the ‘stem cells’ of collagen. The benefits of this treatment are gradual, long lasting and natural reduction in lines and wrinkles.

Key Benefits:
  • Gentle
  • No down time
  • Builds collagen

Your body will continue to produce new collagen for some time and you should gradually begin seeing the results in about 2 to 3 months. More than one treatment is generally needed to produce the desired results depending on the depth of the wrinkles. While more treatments are required than with other non-invasive thermal treatments such as Thermage®, the tradeoff here is each treatment is less costly and can be done in 5 to 20 minutes depending on the area treated. There is essentially no recovery time, and you can return to normal activities immediately.

N-Lite for Acne

One of the biggest breakthroughs for acne treatment has been the N-Lite laser. The N-Lite laser is a non-invasive procedure that works to treat acne by a thermal response in the dermis, affecting the inflammatory responses of the skin and by destroying the bacteria, Pityrosporum acnes, which is a major contributor to acne.

Key Benefits:
  • Safe and effective
  • No drugs
  • No down time

Acne is an extremely common and disliked, condition affecting nearly 80% of people from adolescents to adults.  While numerous treatments are available for the treatment of acne, such as oral antibiotics and Accutane, not everyone wants to be treated with these regimens. Lasers are an effective alternative to medications in the treatment of acne.

Acne treatments with the N-Lite laser can take 10 to 20 minutes, depending upon the areas to be treated. The majority of clients experience a mild warm sensation to the skin during the treatment. The N-Lite usually has no downtime at all, although occasionally clients may develop mild redness immediately following treatment.

For mild acne, a single treatment may be sufficient to suppress acne for several months or longer. Three to four treatments may be needed for more moderate acne.  Maintenance treatments may be required and depend on the severity of the acne. Results are usually seen within a few weeks with continued improvement. N-Lite can be combined with other acne treatments such as oral medications, microdermabrasion or peels. This treatment can also be used in conjunction with Facial Acne Treatments here in our office and we recommend using the CLARISONIC™ skin care brush at home.
