Restylane® & Perlane®

Restylane® and Perlane® are smooth gel hyaluronic acid fillers. (Perlane® is a thicker, longer lasting form of Restylane®). Restylane® is from a non animal source, being made from a sterile sugar fermentation process, and therefore no skin test is necessary before treatment. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in your skin and other tissues such as your joint fluid. After Restylane® is injected beneath your skin, the hyaluronic acid attracts and bonds with water molecules sustaining the effects for usually 6 months.

The results can last longer in some people. Restylane® is typically used for filling nasolabial folds (the lines between the nose and mouth) and marionette lines (the lines from the corners of the mouth down toward the chin).
